Todd, a longtime L.L.Bean collector and fan, chose some of the most iconic pieces from the L.L.Bean archives, then reinvented them with a modern sensibility, premium materials and a tailored fit.

“I have personally been testing this Shirt on my hunting trips...and prefer it to any woolen shirt I've tried, " wrote L.L. Bean in the 1927 catalogue pitching what came to be known as the Chamois Shirt, and soon word spread that the scarlet-colored version kept voracious black flies at bay. Rather than mess with a style that's durable and comfortable, we've merely added some new colors, patterns and elbow patches. Made with the thickest, plushest Portuguese flannel on the market, in limited-edition prints.

100% Brushed 7.5 oz. Portuguese cotton flannel.
Heavyweight flannel.
Twill detail on front pockets.

New favorite shirt

So soft and such a cool pattern; this one I think was the same or similar to a 2020 design I was too late in getting, so I’m stoked I got the chance again. Got a handful of compliments my first couple times wearing it. Slimmer than LL bean regular fit. Not really a complaint but the cuffs are super wide. Like the cuffs could fit over a pair of gloves, which is an anomaly in relation to other similar shirts

Surprising find

You rarely find a shirt of this weight with such softness and a color palette that renders it comfortable with a sense of style. The bright teal really pops.

Great piece

Bought two of these for my dad. Super happy with both of them. Love the colors and the details- really nice classic pieces but with interesting patterns + details. Kept the larger size, as the description recommended. The measurements of the XL were exactly the same as J. Crew's Classic fit shirt, so sized up so this could be work more as a shirt jacket. Will definitely buy more TS pieces in the future, pls continue to collab w/ LL Bean!
