Made in Italy Peak Lapel Tuxedo Jacket in Black

I'd never ordered anything Todd Snyder before. I've been on the hunt for a tuxedo jacket (only) that I can wear with alternative pants -- aka, not the intended matching/accompanying tuxedo pants. Anyway, I actually ordered quite a few different tuxedo jackets from other premium designers: Tom, YSL, Stella, etc.

Compared to others touting premium quality, I found that this jacket easily could be in the same tier as those priced three times as much. The quality of the fabric and construction is incredible for the money you're spending.

I also found that many other top-tier designers' jackets were far too slim/small. I am 6'1, 188lbs, and in extremely good/built shape for my body type (aka, I have beach muscles). I take a 40R in blazers/jackets, however that same size in other brands was far, far too slim and the arms cut right into my pits. However, this jacket fit me much better while still maintaining a streamlined, tailored aesthetic. It should be noted, I still had this jacket professional tailored further to my 'snug' preference... but as-is, it was pretty close.

One last thing: the shade/hue of black in the jacket is definitely darker than what it appears in the picture on the website. The image of the jacket alone seems like a light black-- that is not the case. The black of this jacket is much more how it appears on the model in the same series of pictures... which is what I was hoping for. The satin on the lapels is very nice and gives off a subtle sheen--…
