Italian Donegal Tailored Chore Coat in Grey Herringbone

I really wanted to love this Todd Snyder chore coat, especially after debating it for a while. At $700 for the coat and $300 for the pants, the $1,000 price tag sets high expectations.

The fit is excellent—I’m 6 feet, 190 pounds, and the small fits perfectly. I’d recommend sizing down. The design is sharp, and I love the concept of the chore suit.

However, the fabric doesn’t quite deliver. I was hoping for a traditional winter wool like you’d find from heritage brands like J. Press, but it feels flimsy, likely due to the polyamide blend. For the price, I expected something more substantial.

While it’s a stylish piece with a great fit, the material quality holds it back. If you’re paying $1,000, you want more than just good looks.

Looks great. Definitely size down though. Had to return original purchase to downsize. Received multiple compliments.

This Grey Herringbone Donegal Tweed is so smart and so good looking. It can be paired with a turtleneck, shirt and tie or even a V neck T . I've received numerous compliments and hope a light weight version maybe in linen or seersucker will be avaiable for summer...Bravo ToddSnyder! Big fan here!
