If you wanted a more traditional pea coat, you’d have to board a time machine and enlist in the US Navy circa World War I. Back then, the peacoat wasn’t just a ruggedly cool piece of outerwear, it was cutting edge technology. Wool kept the wearer warm even when wet. Navy blue hid the ravages of salt water, grime and sun, and the large lapels popped up and could be closed with a throat latch to seal the wearer in from the elements. The length, hitting just at the top of the thighs, allowed for ease of movement when sailors had to climb the rigging. Even the double-breasted design meant that the buttons were located off to the sides, ensuring that ropes didn’t get snarled in them. Todd has kept all the old-school peacoat elements and then given our peacoat a luxe upgrade by adding some cashmere to the Italian fabric for a soft, sophisticated hand feel. The silhouette is double-breasted and features two flap pockets at the wearer’s waist and then two slanted, hand-warmer pockets closer to the chest. There are eight horn buttons on the front, a Bemberg lining with piped seams on the interior, and tabs at the sleeves that allow the wearer to adjust the aperture of the cuffs.

Gorgeous and soft peacoat that is classier than your typical melton wool peacoat

Fair warning, VERY oversized and I had to step down from a medium to a small for the 1st time ever with TS. I am a size 40 chest, which is typically medium, however the medium was massive on me. Even with a thick sweater underneath you will have to size down.

Otherwise a very lovely and sexy lux version of the traditional peacoat.

Very Satisfied

After trying on/considering countless other Pea Coats, I immediately knew this was the one. I took the wise advice from the guy who wrote the other review. I measured myself first & ordered down a size for a perfect fit. Don’t let the price deter you. True quality never comes cheap in this world. You will be making a diligent investment in yourself with this one gentlemen!

Statement Peacoat

A statement piece that combines an eye-catching pattern and color combination... The timeless style sets it apart, especially the collar, my favorite of all the details... The fit is great for an overcoat giving you enough room to layer. I'm 220 - 225lbs , 44-45" chest, 6-1 with a muscular build, the large fits me well...

One of a kind that looks even better in person

Debated buying this coat for a month online before seeing it in person at the store. It looks great online, but blew me away in person, and I had to have it. Literally my new favorite piece of outerwear.

Nonpariel

This is one of the finest coats I have ever owned. It’s comfortable & familiar, yet unique—a corduroy peacoat!—and turns heads whenever I wear it. I’ve lost count of how many people have complimented me on it and/or asked where they could get one. I’m slim, 5'11" and 150 pounds; the small fits perfectly.
