The original Submariner Jacket was produced by the U.S. military in the pre-WWII era. It was a natural style for Dehen to take on, given William L. Dehen's own service as a submariner in the U.S. Navy. In true form, the heritage brand has updated this historic garment, traditionally made in a rough woven wool, by fashioning it in their heavy-duty 4-end knit fabric. The result is a piece of triadic synthesis: designed for today, steeped in history, and made to last well into the future.

Received my Dehen Submariner Jacket ( black in color ), it’s made from a sturdy heavyweight wool material. The design, fit and finish is simply outstanding! I will be ordering the Loden Green also.
Great quality; stitching is excellent, substantial knit weight, detailing is outstanding, and fit is spot on. This coat is has a nice silhouette without bunching or bulkiness. The arm length is perfect 6'1", 41.5" chest, 192 lbs athletic build size L fits perfectly over button up or with a light sweater/sweatshirt. Hope the boiled wool fabric wears well over time.
