There’s also a chest pocket known as a barchetta (Italian for “little boat”) as the sleek, curvature of the pocket resembles a small skiff. The interior has a butterfly lining that covers the upper ¼ of the back and makes it easier to slip the sportcoat on and off. Made in Italy from a pique fabric, this is a sophisticated, warm weather upgrade to a navy blue blazer. (The open weave of pique is a gift on hot days). This white knit jacket is perfect for the summer evening cocktail party. I recently wore it at an important work function on a rooftop in 82 degree weather. I stood out in a good way and was able to keep it buttoned up without breaking a sweat. I received numerous compliments on it. Elegant without being flashy. Fit was perfect (after some minor tailoring). Would recommend to anyone who must attend a cocktail party in warm weather
