As elegant as casual gets, our Madison Suit Jacket represents the epitome of soft tailoring. As easy-wearing as it is sharp, it’s what the Italian courtier, diplomat, and author Baldassare Castiglione must have had in mind when he coined the termsprezzatura to describeeffortless nonchalance. The cotton-silk blend fabric has the soft feel of twill and the look of denim. The Madison has a natural shoulder, relaxed fit, slightly nipped-in waist and lightweight butterfly lining. Additional design details include a two-button front and double-vent in the back, as well as a chest pocket known as abarchetta (Italian for “little boat”), because of the sleek curvature of the pocket. Oh, and did we mentionthere are matching trousers available, too?
This was purchased for my college aged grandson. He approved the item before I purchased it and loved the look when he received the jacket. He used the fit guide and only needed to slightly shorten the sleeves.
