Our classic crewneck body gets an on-trend refresh in genuine Japanese indigo. The fabric is a reverse weave french terry, which is a genuine indigo dyed cotton that comes to us from Japan’s A-Girl’s, a family owned mill based in Wakayama. And it is cut on the cross grain for a vintage feel. The seams are a dark indigo. A V beneath the neck known as the “dorito” complete the look. (The V was once a technical innovation both allowing football players to pull the sweatshirt over a helmet and as a means for wicking sweat away from the neck.) This imported Japanese Terry is amazing. Is it worth the price tag? I probably would rather have gotten it on sale. However, everything about it is amazing. If you like Champion, French Terry and these kinds of shirts you'll love this one too. I don't normally spend this much on a shirt but I couldn't pass up trying it out.
Deep rich color with some good texture. It is super soft and comfortable. Looking forward to how the indigo fades over time to give it a more lived in vintage look.
