The Baird family business was established in 1912 on Ireland’s picturesque northwest coast, in Donegal. Nearly 80 years later, the company acquired the Shankbridge dyeing and finishing works, which itself was originally built in 1798. The color, material, and styling are great but the sleeves are knuckle-dragging length and the shirt is a little large for its size, XS. Like the shirt too much to return it, will get sleeves shortened and hope for some shrinkage in the body from washing.
This is a super high-quality 100% Linen shirt. Machine wash, I dry on low. I have to iron it but it keeps its shape and is very sturdy, yet light and airy. I often simply refresh the shirt in the dryer between wearings for at least one or two occasions before rewashing. I usually don't need to iron it again or just touch it up a bit since it wasn't washed, just refreshed. I LOVE this shirt. It's one of the best pieces of clothing I've ever bought. And I'm very discerning (picky) about clothes. Use a good iron like a Chi. The iron you use makes a difference.
A real beaut! Well-cut and stitched, and the linen is butter-soft, yet somehow feels tough as boots. A keeper.
