Le Mont St Michel Work Jacket With Contrasting Pockets

I’m a Huge Wool Fanboy, and was thinking about adding a French chore coat to my wardrobe for a while. Imagine my excitement when I saw one offered in wool! I was also excited to try an offering from Todd Snyder as many of the clothes they offer have caught my eye. This coat looks great, and quality of construction appears top notch. It has two MAJOR flaws. One) for what I was expecting (a boxy, relaxed, casual fit) the body is fine, but the arms are way too TIGHT. I’m 5’10” 197lbs, 36” waist (extra 15 COVID pounds) and could barely finish an important phone call. My arms were going numb holding my phone to my ear. It was cold so I didn’t want to take the coat off, so I kept switching from one tingly arm back and forth every minute. Two) the wool is of the itchy/scratchy variety. Normally I can stand a certain amount of this as I LOOOOOVE wool, but not this wool. I’ll need to wear a long sleeve under it to protect my arms that has a Collar so the sides of my neck are Also protected from the abrasiveness. I wanted to love this coat, it does look great. But unfortunately, it is a poorly conceived product, and unfortunately for me, it’s an “All Sales are Final” item, so I’m out 254$😭. Hope this helps someone!
