Combining all the rugged cool of workwear with the polish of proper tailoring, the Workwear Suit Jacket can be worn on its own or with matching trousers for a relaxed yet refined look. The silhouette is inspired by a vintage carpenter’s jacket, and it features sportcoat details (a natural shoulder, patch pockets, and a trim lapel). Workwear details include button cuffs and a 3-into-2 button stance that allows you to wear it like a blazer or pop the collar and button it up like a chore coat. The fabric is a cotton sateen that’s sourced for us from Japan by the textile gurus at Three Looms. The dry handfeel is reminiscent of a classic military chino. The buttons are melamine to enhance the vintage military vibe. The jacket has no vent, and features a single interior pocket on the wearer’s right side, a handy spot for an iPhone or wallet. Looks great on its own with denim or as a part of a relaxed suit when worn with the Oversized Workwear Chino.
Based on a vintage French military trouser, this rugged chino combines two things we love--an oversized fit and a pleated trouser. The fabric is a Japanese cotton that was sourced for us by the textile gurus at Three Looms and matches back to our Workwear Suit Jacket if you’re in the market for a relaxed take on tailoring. Design details include a double-pleat, a button fly with melamine buttons to enhance the retro feel. The fit is slightly slouchy up top with a higher rise than our Standard Fit; the pant legs are not fully blown out but have some shaping to them.
