Todd has partnered with the arbiter of Ivy League style to create a modern twist on the classics including The Duffel Coat, The Sack Suit and The Shaggy Dog® Sweater. “J. Press has always been a little under the radar, which makes them cool,” says Todd. “So we took some of their iconic pieces and gave them a little attitude. And we took some of our styles like our chore coat and J. Press-ified them in Harris Tweed.” The inspiration for this Camel Hair great coat were the sort of pieces that stylish Ivy Leaguers once wore to keep warm watching football and polo. The peak lapel is slightly exaggerated, the body is tailored but still roomy, and the fabric is luxe imported Italian wool camel hair. Design details include a back belt with genuine horn buttons. The coat is designed to be worn on the longer side.
This is an amazing coat. The construction is fantastic and it feels lux.
Recommend to purchase a size smaller as it is quite big. Best to purchase in store. If not it might be trail an error until you get the right size for you. Specially if you are wearing a suit.
5’10 and normally wear a 42. Ordered a 42 and it fits the shoulders well, just extremely long sleeves. Also had to hem the bottom of the coat since it almost reached my ankles. Pretty roomy in the body, which I had to take in to. Looking back, maybe take a size down?
Otherwise it’s beautiful.
Before this piece my favorite coat was a Nanushka Cashmere wrap coat, I don't think I've worn that coat once since this arrived. This coat makes me feel good, it's like a hug. I walk around the city with the confidence of a WASP with generational wealth. I completely understand other customer's comments with regard to fit. I'm 6' and ordered a 36, for me it fits beautifully.
