If you want a better chino, sometimes you have to design it yourself. That’s what Todd did here by pulling together the key elements of classic chinos he’s known, worn, loved and lost over time. The fabric, which is imported from Japan’s famed Kuorki mill and made on old-style shuttle looms, recreates the dry yet soft handfeel of a vintage military khaki. The details are old-school too: Button fly, on-seam pockets, back Besom pocket with button closures, melamine buttons and a coin pocket on the waistband, The result is the chino for the chino connoisseur--perfect for work, weekend or whatever.
These are beautiful pants. However, the buttons are barely sewed on. The fabric too has started to pill already after just a few wears. I like them, but they’re definitely worth the 200 dollar price tag. Surely Todd Snyder can do better.
I have a previous version of these and those are easily the best chinos I've ever worn. The fly on these is made weird and there are lots of lumps and loose ends across the surface of these. These are also a heavier weight than the previous version.
These pants are fantastic! The color and quality are superior but I found the sizing in the waist to run a bit large. I am right on the fence between a 38 and 36 waist and originally ordered a size 38. However, I found them a bit big so I exchanged for a size 36, which ended up being absolutely perfect. Have to say that I love the easy and quick exchange process at Todd Snyder. Bottom line, i recommend these pants.

The material, and color of these are really nice for fall Chino, but the cut isn’t quite right for me. They’re more roomy in the leg then I would expect all the way down and I don’t actually mind. Most of my pants are slim fit but felt like these had a more old-school relaxed silhouette and I was OK to switch it up and try that look .. until I saw the back view. These don’t do the one thing that a chino should, and that is make my butt look good. Maybe I should’ve bought these in the size down like I do with jeans, and let them stretch because, the waist fit perfect when I bought them but that has also stretched out a bit now. I’m a size 34 but get size 32 in my Japanese raw denim. Most everything else I stick with a 34 and that’s what I got these in.
I’ve worn them a few times and think I’m past my window to return/exchange them but I would recommend sizing down in these the way you might with raw denim and expecting them to be a bit tight in the waist for a while.
